Pamela Beavers brings numerous strengths to the board. She is currently employed by the Chicago Transit Authority where she has served as General Manager for the past 13 years. Ms. Beavers is responsible for managing the planning, development and administration of the Disadvantaged Business and Equal Employment Opportunity Programs. In addition, she has over a decade of purchasing experience and holds a lifetime designation as a Certified Purchasing Manager. Prior to being appointed to the Board of Trustees, Pamela served on the Police Pension Board in 1993, and was a member of the Plan Commission from 1994 until 2002.
Ms. Beavers received her Bachelor of Arts Degree from Mundelein College where she majored in management and marketing, and received a Masters of Business Administration with emphasis in public management and management strategy from the J. L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management of Northwestern University. Pamela was appointed on December 12, 2002. She resides in Woodridge with her husband Earl, and two daughters, Lauren and Mariah.
