A Household Hazardous Waste Drop-off Facility is available in Naperville. The facility is open year-round on Saturdays and Sundays, excluding holidays, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. It is located behind Fire Station #4 at 1971 Brookdale Road. Items such as oil based paint, insecticides, poisons and household batteries that cannot be picked up by the trash hauler can be taken to this location. If you have questions about the the household hazardous waste collection program, please call the Naperville Department of Public Works at (630) 420-4190, Monday through Friday, between the hours of 7 a.m. and 4 p.m.

Latex Paint
Latex paint is not accepted at the Naperville Hazardous Waste Drop -Off Facility. However, the DuPage County Public Works Facility at 7900 Route 53 in Woodridge offers a latex only paint program in spring and summer. Only reusable (not dried out or previously frozen) latex paint is accepted. It is then filtered and blended and made available free of charge to residents, businesses and organizations.
