Neighborhood Dialogue

Throughout the year, a series of neighborhood meetings are held so that residents in the neighborhood can meet with Village, Park District, School District, and Fire District officials to learn more about local services and make inquiry of these officials.  Residents are informed about projects and programs in their neighborhood and are given an opportunity to ask questions about service and issues of concern.  The meetings are typically held at an elementary school and the neighborhood is defined by the elementary school boundaries.  Minutes from the meetings are mailed to participants and are placed on the Village website.  Village officials use the resident input from these meetings in the annual Town Meeting held in early Fall and in the November Goal Setting Session.
